Once across the Western Alps to the Cote d'Azur on all the

legendary Tour de France passes

A big, spectacular challenge awaits you and will reward you! The Western Alps are great and beckon with their beautifully built pass roads, which are also incorporated repeatedly in the Tour de France. It is part of a unique experience of a racing cyclist, once completely through the Western Alps. We do not miss out on a pass, it's hardly possible either, because there are mighty mountains in front of us that do not want to end on the last day and reward them with great downhills. The level is high, but we go a brisk, but not too tiring pace and in the ascents of the passes 650-700 hm back. There is also the possibility of shortening the stages at any time by using our support vehicle. And let's go! You can do it and it will certainly be unforgettable. Day 1: Arrival by bus from Garmisch via Switzerland to the southern shore of Lake Geneva Day 2: 86 km - 2210 m ascent We start in the Savoy Alps through the Foret (forest) de Thonon and reach our first pass the Col de la Jambaz which gives us a beautiful view of the Mont Billat. Over dreamlike Almengelände we make ourselves to the Col del la Colombière. The deep ringing of the cow bells accompanies our way down through the ski areas of le Grand Bornand to the hotel Day 3: 88 km - 2650 m ascent It goes up to the Col Aravis, which opens gigantic views to Mont Blanc, the white mountain. After a beautiful descent through the l'Arondine gorge, we cross the river l'Arly and it goes 700 hm up to the Col des Saises where we enjoy the delicious French cuisine in a restaurant. A gorgeous picture book landscape with alpine meadows, mountain forests and sensational peaks make the heart beat faster. Well-fortified, we go to the exit. In the village of Beaufort, where the famous Gryrere cheese is made, we visit a cheese dairy, before we make our way over the wonderfully beautiful terrain to the Col de Mérallet. Along the turquoise waters of the Lac de Roselend we drive to the Col and the narrow Tarentaise valley with mighty mountains out to the hotel. Day 4: 103 km - 2750 m ascent Today, the Col d'Iseran is on the program, fantastically beautiful along a reservoir we screw up the pass up to 2764 m. This is the highest passable pass in the Alps. A small restaurant invites you for a leisurely break before we head to the valley. It continues gently undulating until we reach our hotel in Modane. Day 5: 92 km - 2330 m ascent Slight curling until we turn left to the Col du Télégraphe, the landscape becomes high alpine and we reach the Col du Galibier, the absolute highlight of the Tour de France passes. On the tarmac we drive over the inscriptions and cheers of the fans of the Tour de France. We drive over the Col de Lautaret, it is only downhill to the hotel where we relax afterwards and enjoy the good French cuisine in the evening. Small city tour in the ancient Briancon with its impressive fortifications. Day 6: 95 km - 2690 m ascent Today it is spectacular, the third highest pass of the Route des Grandes Alpes, the Col d'Izoard is beautifully built. The Casse Dèserte (petrified desert) is gigantic, these are bizarre rock towers, the area is unique and very atmospheric. We reach the village of Chateau de Queras where we have lunch. The Monte Viso, the King of Cottons, towers over the Queras National Park. Continue through the Combe de Queras up to Col de Vars. Day 7: 64 km - 2480 m ascent Back up to the Col de la Bonette with its beautiful ring road to the Cime de la Bonette, grandiose views of the maritime Alps await us. Beautiful descent past the ski resort of Isola 2000 and through the Gorges de Valabres (gorge) we roll out of the valley to once again comfortably up to the Col de Saint Martin, managed and slowly we look forward to the sea. Today we enter the famous Mercantour Natural Park, where there are still wolves. Day 8: 83 km - 1790 m ascent Final spurt and yet not over, it is unbelievable which beautiful passes open up in the hinterland of Nice. The dreamlike Col de Turini is the first to follow, followed by Col d'Orme and the Col d'Abeil and our last pass, the Col de Braus. We rush down to the sea, the West Alps baptism by jumping into the sea awaits us and the jubilation about this great performance is great. It may be celebrated !!! Day 9: After breakfast, enjoy the beach and return via Switzerland
